The new year has arrived, and here at Budgens Okehampton we are already looking at what we can do to improve things for our customers in 2012.
We are only a couple of weeks into the year but are already preparing for our second major price launch in a matter of months. Once again, we will be aiming to lower hundreds of prices across the store, making it even easier for you make savings without even thinking about it. Our Tesco Price Match will include everyday essentials and a selection of the nation's favourite brands, so we can help you lower your weekly shopping spend.
Since this time last year we have seen a number of changes in store, particularly in our fresh produce department. The recent introduction of a seasonal produce display inside the front door has already attracted a lot of attention (see this article by Richard Penny of Okehampton People http://bit.ly/rVGcYy). Further to this, we will soon be introducing a large produce display outside the store, offering great deals and some of the very finest local fruit and vegetables.
The Costa Express coffee machine has proved to be so popular that we've had to install another one! In the height of the summer our machine was officially the busiest Costa Coffee machine in the entire country, and although the tourists have now gone home, we still have a loyal local following. And if coffee alone is not enough to wake you up in the morning, you can now pick up donuts and muffins from our Bobby's Donut cabinet too.
This year we are aiming to serve more people in our community than ever before. To help us achieve this we will be regularly updating our customers through Twitter (@budgens_oke), our website (http://www.budgensokehampton.com) and a mailing list that we are hoping to set up in the next few months. We'll be sending out information on special offers, new products and competitions, and will also be aiming to introduce e-coupons giving special discounts to our followers.
